(UPDATE 1: Feel free to embed the promo image below when reviewing or linking to TUNE. Thank you!)
(UPDATE 2: My publisher just threw up a pic of the first book! It actually exists now! So exciting…)
Hello, TUNE readers. You’ve just read Chapter 18, the final chapter of Book 2 when TUNE is released in book form. Where’s the start of Chapter 19, the beginning of Book 3, you ask? Well, sadly, this is the point where the online serialization of TUNE will either be a hiatus or the end.
Here’s the situation. My publisher, First Second Books (an imprint of Macmillan Books), who finances this book/site, has bought the first two books – which you’ve just read and is now archived in its entirety for free here at tunecomic.com. However they need to see how the first book does before they can invest in the third book. And the only way to pay Les McClaine to draw the book and continue the online serialization is with my publisher’s purchase of the next book.
The first volume of TUNE will be released this November. If it doesn’t do well, my publisher can’t justify investing in the third book and TUNE will cease to continue. Needless to say, I’m really hoping this doesn’t happen. My editor told me the first book needs to sell between 8,000 to 10,000 copies for them to finance the next book. This is a pretty tall order considering my tiny readership and my track record of dismal sales. According to this site’s statistics only about 1,500 people regularly read this comic online which is pretty much in line with the teeny viewership of Mythomania.
So now the fate of TUNE is in your hands. There’s nothing more I can do to convince my publisher unless the sales are there. So if you want to see this story continue, no message to my publisher would be greater than ordering a copy on Amazon or buying a copy at the book store when it’s released.
But if you’re hard up for money right now (and I totally understand, I know times are tough economically), there’s still plenty you can do to keep this comic alive. Asking your local library to order it would be tremendously helpful as well. Library orders make up a huge percentage of book sales. And if the first book gets enough preorders though Amazon and other online outlets, perhaps that will convince my publisher to finance the third book before the first book even comes out and we could see the story continue here online that much faster.
Also, reviews on Goodreads or Amazon would really help. If you like the comic, recommend it to a friend. If you have a blog, throw up a review. Me constantly pimping my own comic doesn’t do much. A good review from one of you will have much more impact on getting someone interested. If you’re an artist, throw up some fan art. You could write to my publisher and tell them how much you like TUNE, or write to your favorite comic or pop culture site to cover the comic. Anything to get more people to notice TUNE and get them talking about it would be great. Perhaps if we get enough people to read the comic online that will translate to enough sales of the book and the story can continue.
Just so you know, there’s nothing I’d like more than to continue the serialization right now for you guys for free, without any breaks. Unfortunately it’s just not financially possible without the backing of a publisher.
This is one of my favorite stories I’ve ever written, and certainly the most epic and ambitious book I’ve ever attempted. This first story arc is already completely written, and I really hope I get the chance to share the rest of it with you guys. The story thus far is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more to this story than you may think. Andy, Yumi, Dash, and Mo end up changing the entire course of Praxis by the end of this story arc.
Lastly, I wanted to say a big thank you to the 1,500 of you that have followed and supported TUNE these last couple years. Especially those of you active in the comments. You guys were pretty much the only source of feedback and enthusiasm I got for this comic during its run and really kept me going. So thank you again, and I really hope Les and I will be able to throw up the next page for all of you guys soon!
best,
Derek

Dang, I really loved reading this online. :< Welp. I know what I'm getting for my birthday (in November). Are you touring with your book when it comes out?
(When I said I loved reading it online, I wasn’t complaining about reading it on paper. Just that I enjoyed it being a part of my day.
)
Well, it doesn’t have to end if 8k-10k more people follow your example. Heh. I can’t afford to do a tour, but I’ll definitely be hitting the upcoming Brooklyn book fair, APE, Wondercon, and Comic-Con. And thank you for picking up the book! And Happy early birthday!
Derek. Is there any way I could get a large TUNE frame to colorize and use to plug the comic? I’ll send you back the raw result to use yourself if you like it.
I plan on arting the hell out of this picture, so it should be something emblematic of the series. I am at least moderately known for my arts and I’d love to lay the smackdown on a great big TUNE image for the cause.
And… art.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/9119917/tune.jpg
This is just my interpretation. I’ve always seen Praxian faces as digital screens!
Whoa, that’s a cool take, usualmadman, thanks! Screens for faces would be neat for another dimension.
Thank you for the early birthday wish.
I always feel gross when I feel I’m crossing the border into gushy lands, but, Hell’s bells, if I can’t be generous with positive feedback, what CAN I be generous with?
Regarding the bit in your Kleefeld interview about people not knowing your collection of works, I wondered whether it’d help to know that that’s not always the case. Personally, I’ve been following your work since “Healing Hands” and even a certain comic about a young man finding a lone monk atop a mountain. (Which was frickin’ hilarious and I wish I could find it online.) I must have read that during school hours, because I remember a sense of suppressed delight at having struck gold.
I don’t think I even need to tell you not to pay mind to those who project their own desires and presumptions onto your comics, making it difficult for them to see (or care about) what you aimed to accomplish. Hell, that’s why the brilliant Thom Yorke had trouble, isn’t it? People won’t shut up about what they thought was the best song or album and what they believe he needs to “return to.” (Because it’s easier to demand the artist just make the same version of their favorite song than to simply go out and seek out similar pieces, eh?) People inherently evolve – the people worth reckoning, anyway – and so, too, does their art. Not enough people ENJOY that. Most seem to only lament it, as though the art created has more to do with them, the reader, than the artist. (I’m not knocking the empathy/sympathy and consequent connection to a story – I just don’t like that entitled behavior.)
Point is, Sir, I am a comic artist and writer (and Korean-American) and your style has informed my own. I strive to be as down-to-earth and honest and heartwarming as you in your endeavors. So, despite my initial sadness at hearing your frustration with comicking, thanks to a wonderful interview, I have been elucidated and only wish to tell you to keep it up. Keep MAKING ART, be it film or what have you. I’ll be here, cheering from the sidelines.
- Tina
Derek Kirk Kim, I am about to pimp the everliving shit out of TUNE. You are not going to leave me in the dark with that Mo reveal!
Thanks! It’s agonizing having to leave the story here after Mo’s reveal. Things really start to kick into gear after this.
Dang, this ruined my day before it started. Tune updates have been the highlights of my weeks, something to look forward to when stress has gotten high.
I actually found out about this comic last November on the NaNoWriMo site on a thread discussing webcomics. With November coming up again, maybe I can get others to follow in my footsteps. I’ll definitely go preorder a copy of Tune, and I’m going to try getting some college friends to read it. Word of mouth is an amazing thing!
I haven’t been too active on the comments section, but that’s because I don’t have enough praise for this comic. I love all the characters and the plot, and it’d be a tragedy to not see it out ’til the end.
Thank you so much, Bramblepool! And thank you for letting me know about the forum, it’s nice to know someone out there knows of Tune’s existence.
I will certainly buy a copy, and I will ask the appropriate selector of my library system to buy several copies. I’m fairly low on the totem pole in my library system, but since I was until recently (and the selectors do not know that I just handed the job over to somebody else) the guru of the graphic novels in my branch, they always buy the graphic novels I request. Probably this will wind up being … three copies? Not much, I know. BUT if everybody asked their library to buy a copy, that would add up. Remember, most multi-branch library systems do not like buying fewer than three copies of anything. It’s just too much work for one copy. So everybody–get asking now!
Awesome, thanks, Sean! I love librarians…
good luck, I will do my part. What are your thoughts on an alternative funding model? I’m guessing that crowd sourcing to get season 3 online would be a pretty big cost per person?
Thanks, Eliot! I just went through a Kickstarter campaign (which was harrowing) for another project a couple months ago, so I don’t want to bother people again for money. Plus, I really like my publisher, and I’d like to stick with them for this project if at all possible.
Derek, thank you very much for this great story you wrote. I loved “Same Difference” and bought it as soon as the French version was released in Europe. I live in Belgium but will certainly support you by buying a copy of the book and tell about it to my favorite comic book reseller.
Here in French-speaking Europe we have some interesting experiences in participative publishing and crowdfunding, like sandawe.com (seems that the English version is broken, though) and mymajorcompany.com . You might like them… if your contract with MacMillan allows you to do so, of course
Thanks, Kyon! I just went through a Kickstarter campaign (which was harrowing) for another project a couple months ago, so I don’t want to bother people again for money. Plus, I really like my publisher, and I’d like to stick with them for this project if at all possible.
Man, you sure know how to bring a webcomicker back down to Earth.
I have pre-ordered on Amazon. After a wee bit of sleep, I will proceed to pimp the book out some, because I definitely want more.
Same here.
This cannot be
THE END
Andy Go Will Return
I hope so too, Dieter! Thank you for all your feedback and enthusiasm over the months.
Thanks, Justin!
Ordered!
Thank you!
Book ordered!
I’ll add my comments to the chorus too- this is a truly great comic, and I hope we can see more of it in the future. You guys have put some serious work into it, and no matter what happens with publication, you should be proud of it as an achievement in storytelling.
High fives all round!
*high five* Thank you, Dave!
SOLD!
I’m also pimping the crap out of this as much as I can. I really enjoy TUNE and I love that you managed to convince a publisher to finance the project. It’s a true testament to the quality of your work.
Thank you, Jamie! And I’ve certainly been lucky. Sometimes I have to pinch myself.
I just preorderded it from amazon.co.uk (since amazon.de doesn´t have it yet).
I´ll also promote it online at the end of the week. Good luck!
Thank you, Thomas!

Oh, nice! Thats really good news. This´ll make it a whole lot easier!
Damn, I was so into the story now as well! I’ll do my part, try to spread the word, and buying the book. I really wanna keep reading Tune, it’s been one of my favourite web comics.
Thank you, Jonas!
I’m not active in the comments, but I read it every MWF. Book is ordered, link to this page posted on my Facebook and Google+, and I’ll be putting a post up on a semi-popular blog I wrote for. Good luck with the sales! Hopefully we can get the rest of them serialized on the tubes and make this thing a success!
Thank you, Protagonist! Much appreciated!
I just moved to Vermont for Center for Cartoon Studies, and I’ve been spreading my love for your comics to the other students who don’t already read your stuff! You can count on us to be rooting for you here!
Thanks, Josh! And CCS sounds great! I hope you have a great experience there.
Def buying this November. I can’t wait until the next part!
Thanks, Seung!
What a bummer! Tune is one of my favorite online comics. I wasn’t much active in the comments but I always read it every release day. I live in Brazil and I surely will spread the word here about it (and november I’m buying the book, although it’ll cost about 50% more to send it here).
Keep calm and carry on! (As the british would say…)
Thank you, Ed! Woohoo, it would be awesome to have it in Brazil!
I’ve had a blast reading this from the get-go, and as soon as I’m able, I’ll be ordering the book. Thank you so much for sharing this story with us, Derek!
Thanks, Allan!
I just placed my order on Amazon. Here’s hoping you can sell at least 8,000 copies and keep the story going! I’m afraid I’ll be really depressed otherwise…
Thank you, Brittney! Hopefully, we’ll avert any depression! (mine, included.
Just a little flag.. but I’m waving it anyway.
http://angelegentlich.blogspot.de/
Of course it’s german – but I think you get the idea.
Thanks as always, Dieter! So cool to think the book will be all the way in Germany.
Interesting. I was thinking the same thing the other day. I guess this is what the internet is (or: should) be about – communication. Without the net I wouldn’t even know that this comic enxists, I’d have to wait until it’s published in Germany.
Well I am certainly bummed by the stoppage as Tune Updates are something I look forward to greatly during the week. However I am a librarian in a large library system and I am known by our collection folks as the go to comics guy I will make sure we order a bunch of them.
I also just plugged it to all my fb friends, many of whom work for other library systems, and are comic fans, so hopefully you will get a lot of sales from libraries in West Michigan.
It really is a comic, and I cant wait to read the next installments whenever they come around. Thanks for the great story Derek.
It really is a “great” comic is what I meant there at the end. Obviously, “it really is a comic”. Duh.
Oh, that’s awesome, Josh. Thank you so much! I love me some library…
Order placed! Next step is boasting in front of my folks about how cool is the book I know I will receive for Xmas, in order to make them all envious.
Maybe your parents will enjoy it too.
Thank you, Tororo!
Goodbye Tune, I’ll miss having you as a part of my routine webcomic trifecta. Unfortunately, I won’t miss you enough to pay for you.
It was fun while it lasted!
Don’t worry DKK I’ll go all missionary on the masses to spread the good book of Tune. Your a undeniably good cartoonist who deserves better, I hope you get to do volume 3.
PS
You said you need to pay Les McClaine to draw the book, would you consider going back to drawing it yourself if worst case scenario the books don’t do so well?
Thank you, Serhend! Much appreciated!
And to answer your question, no, I wouldn’t. Right now, I want to focus on making this model with Les work with First Second.
I’ve been enjoying this so far, but as a local San Franciscan there are some little things that just throw me… like the name of the school being the “College of Visual Arts”. I suppose that one is just so that you don’t get sued by Academy of Art University, but some subway tickets? You can have Bart tickets… or clipper cards… but we don’t have subway tickets, since we have two different systems running underground. And both of them also run above ground.
It’s frustrating, because sometimes the little details are so right (Utrecht on Fifth!) and sometimes they’re just so off (72 bus?? We don’t Have a 72 bus!)
Aida, I’m a Bay Area kid. I lived there most of my life, believe me, I’m just as aware which details are right and wrong. I’m not making a documentary about San Francisco, I’m telling a story.
Just pre-ordered five copies.. thanks for taking care of most of my Christmas shopping Derek. Also need to plug it during prime time on Facebook. Keep your head up brother, I have a good feeling about this book!
Aw, thanks, bro!! You da best.
Hi Derek,
Book ordered of course. Great piece of work you’ve got here. As Jidong puts it, thx for taking care of my Christmas shopping, even though it will get to Paris only beginning of January
Cheers and keep it up !
Thank you, Sebastien! Dang, wish the shipping was faster. I love France and I hope to return someday.
Well, they may have ordered it anyway, since they already had Same Difference and Good As Lily, but I requested the Sacramento Public Library buy Tune and they said they would. I’ll buy one for meself as soon as I ain’t cartoonishly poor. (My job does-not-compute during the summer.)
DKK, I’ve been reading your stuff since Same Difference was being serialized and I fucking love it. Not least because I too was a Bay Area-n and it captures the feel of that place really well. I really think you oughtta be way more famous, and I will do my best to spread the word about Tune. Thanks for years of really good art and storytelling, and here’s hoping for many more.
Awesome, thank you, Josh! Actually Sacramento was the first city I lived in when I immigrated from Korea. I lived there for a year or two before my mom moved to the Bay Area. At some point down the line, I want to do a story from that time as well…
I made you come in the greatest french encyclopedia for comics on the web
I hope a lot of comics buyers will know you that way
The point is, it’s cheaper on amazon.fr than on amazon.com because of the shipping taxes
I hope they buy you a lot of books in advance
Last but not least, you can ask to change or complete your biography with a simple message to the webmaster on the ad hoc link on your own author page (Bio)

Oh wow, thank you, jfb41! It would be great to get some penetration into France. It’s such a wonderful country for comics!
captain kirk! remember me and rona from the CCA summer art program? i’ve been following tune for the last few months…i usually read once a week so i can get a few pages in at once lol. i’m so sad that the story might end here…i really love the art and the characters. i’ll definitely be preordering a copy to help support you. i’m gonna let rona know about this too…she’s working at pixar now (i went to pharmacy school; lame, i know -___-) so she might be able to spread to word to all her artsy fartsy co-workers about your work. in any case, best of luck and i hope all is well!
Yes, of course, Aya! I have very fond memories of those classes, you kids were all so great. And hey, there’s nothing wrong with pharmacy school- medicine says a lot more people than comics or cartoons!
I’m really happy for Rona too, that’s great! I actually know a couple people from Pixar and have visited before. Looks like a great place to work. And thank you so much for the kind words and support! I appreciate it, Aya!
I love this comic, the story, the characters, everything about it. I don’t have much money, but I supported your kickstarter for mythomania and I’m preordering a book. I wish you the best of luck, I know I’ll try to spread the word how I can. I just wish awesome stuff like this got the support it deserves.
Thank you for all your support, Zach! Hopefully the sales will be good enough so it won’t be for naught. I’m crossing my fingers and toes!
I’m sure someone else must have mentioned this already, but have you thought about creating a Kickstarter project?
Hey, Jessica, I just went through a Kickstarter campaign (which was harrowing) for another project a couple months ago, so I don’t want to bother people again for money. Plus, I really like my publisher, and I’d like to stick with them for this project if at all possible.
Would you consider maintaining a mailing list to let readers know when you’re going to be firing up the site again?
Yeah, I should probably make a facebook page for Tune to keep everyone updated… Thank you for the suggestion.
I really love the comic, and I only finished reading it today, after discovering it 2 days ago. I first heard about tune when I read your wonderful, touching graphic novel Same Difference. It really changed the way I thought of comics as art. I believe I was in 6th grade at the time. I wanted to know more about you and so I came to your website, to find your latest blog post announcing th e start of TUNE. I was a dutiful follower, until life overtook other priorities in my life, one of which was preparing for an international percussion competition (we got seventh place. Oh yeah.) Years passed and I read other comics, such as Maus, Blankets, Watchmen, and Bone. Until I remembered a webcomic that I had read in the past…I couldnt remember its name… and here we are now. Being a mature reader for my age, catching up with this comic was truly a neat experience,.because I got a glimpse of what it might feel like to read it in book form, instead of waiting for the weekly updates. The pacing and the panel layout, and Les’ absolutely beautiful artwork made for a cohesive and brilliant story, and I was extremely excited that the story would be available in print. Trust me you have my publicity. I adore your work DKK, and hope that it gets enough buzz for part 2 to commence. Though reading it in one siting was great, I was saddened I could not live the same “I’m gonna kill myself before Monday even comes” suspense that commenters such as jon peniston and leadi must have experienced. I really want the experience of edge-of-your seat updates and comment discussion and predictions, and you bet I’m gonna keep up next time! Meanwhile, the link to this page and my review of this comic is going on my google plus. Derek, please keep th e good work up!
A hui hou,
Emerson
Thank you for the all the great feedback, Emerson, I really appreciate it! As long as there’s readers like you out there, I’ll do my best keep producing!
Just ordered it.
Thank you, Grant!
Just pre-ordered my copy of the book. Please keep up the great work!
Thank you, Beastie!
Hi there,
I just wanted to say that I feel this is one of the best web-comics out there. To read that it could be over if there are not enough sales saddens me very much. If you do not get the support of the publisher I can only hope that you won’t stop there. There are lots of ways of raising funds and there are some pretty inspirational examples out there to show you the way. I’m sure you know more about it than I. I will be buying your books as soon as I have a bit of money. I support your work to no end. I really hope you read this and know that your work is exceptional, your ideas are creative your humor is awesome and I simply MUST know what happens next. haha I have faithfully returned here pretty much every day and am never disappointed. I wish you terrific success and will think about what I can do to help. I read your suggestions and will try. Please keep it up!
Thank you, mr.Harris! Very much appreciate the feedback! Don’t need to lose hope yet though. Who know maybe the sales will be decent! Maybe it’s just one of those comics that don’t translate well to the web. Crossing my fingers. Thank you for all your support and kind words!
I submitted this to Boing Boing after finding out about it via Yellow Peril (ypcomic.com). Hopefully they like it enough to pimp it out! It’d be a huge signal boost. I will also be purchasing a print copy as a Christmas present to myself. Best of luck!
Thank you for passing the word to the almighty BoingBoing, Stephanie! I love BoingBoing and they gave a huge boost to Same Difference during it’s run!
Hey, that’s awesome. Good job Derek. But I have to ask – why should I invest in buying books 1 and 2 if there’s no promise of you wrapping up the story in a book 3? That’s a lot of reader/buyer investment for something that you can’t promise to finish in a satisfactory manner.
I’ve been a fan of your work since it first went online, though, and always will be no matter what, but I’m sure there must be other people a little unhappy about the flippant way you dismissed any responsibility toward a book three, passing the buck on to your publisher, as it were.
Yes, artists need to get paid. But you can’t take readers for granted, either.
Moe
Flippant? Moe, I would hardly call this very long explanation flippant. Also, I’m not sure what you want me to say. It’s just the reality of the situation. If you don’t want to risk your money, that’s totally cool, you don’t have to.
It’s not about risking money; it’s risking all the time I already put into the comic, since it first started. You should have given this explanation when the first comic went up, so your readers could decide whether or not they wanted to invest the time.
But I do appreciate what you’ve done so far. I already made my preorder on Amazon so I hope that helps you get to book 2.
I just wish I had known the only way for me to finish reading the book would have been to pony up, and even if I did pony up, that wouldn’t be any guarantee that the story would be finished.
I guess that’s the downside of new media (although I don’t want to discredit the upside): readers are just a testmarket, and content creators don’t owe us anything. In the old days the book was finished first and you could decide whether or not to buy/check it out/read it. Now you have to make the decision beforehand, and whether or not you pledge money you might still never get an ending.
Definitely submitting a request to Multnomah County Library. GET TUNE from :01!
Thanks, MJB!
I can’t wait for my copy to arrive
Like the main character, I’m in a bit of a post art school crisis. Don’t have much $$ myself but I’m totally going to invest in this book because I’ve been a fan of your work for so long and Tune is such a lovable piece. So many less deserving things get created and published everyday I’d hate to see this one get shoved away! This is my first time commenting in the years that I’ve been following your work and I regret not posting more encouragement and support in the past. Anyway, good luck and thanks for always creating such high quality, entertaining and moving comics!
Thanks, Q. I’ll try my best to live up to your support!
I got it. I really hope this gets out there, it’s really good, and it’s a great web-comic to follow with its constant suspense.
Well I’m not one of those 1,500 as I don’t read regularly. The waiting is for the next page is a bit too much suspense for me. So I read every 3 months or so and get to read a bunch at a time.
This time there was only new pages 6 pages since last I read.
So I did preorder book 1, so you should have at least 1,501 copies sold now.
Don’t forget about us “non-regularly readers”, they buy books too.
How much as the author do you know about the book sales? Could we get a count down, counter to book 3?
I also found it interesting that Amazon, has a hard limit of 80 books per person, (not per order, but per person) for Tune or only 1% of the needed amount.
It takes several months before a publisher can get an initially tally due to the return system of book stores (in the book world, a store can return any unsold books.) So we’ll see….
It shipped from Amazon at 10:02pm
Woo hoo! Thank you for the order!
My preorder just got here about 20 minutes ago. They printed the Star Field on every page! That’s a lot of INK. I haven’t read through it yet, but the printing looks regood
Any good news?
There won’t be any news really until the book goes on sale, and it will be several months after that before my publisher can get any sales figures. But the book is released in a week so I’m happy about that! Finally!
Just got my copy of the book and I love it. Can’t wait to share it with friends and hope they buy a copy too.
Glad you like it, Zack! Thank you!
I got volume 1 for myself and also ordered a copy for my library! When is volume 2 coming out?
Thank you, EB! Volume 2 will be released a year from now.
Hi Derek
Happy new year all !
And what about the volume 3 ???
Woooohoooo! I got my copies today! (I had pre-ordered them from amazon.com, they did a fine job with packaging and shipping them across the ocean). I loved that there’s “to be continued” printed on the last page… ^_____^ … good omen, or so I hope!
Thank you, Tororo! I hope it’s a good omen as well!
Hey Derek!
One thing I had completely forgotten: Andy is telling this story from a point in time we do not know, right? For all we know he could be telling this story to his grandchildren (who have probably invented the Tuner 2.0 out of a DeLorean). Can’t wait to get Part 2 (and hopefully 3)!
I enjoyed reading “Tune” as a comicbook. It looks good, feels good, smells good.
Totally, Dieter! Who knows in what time Andy is narrating this story. Maybe someday we’ll find out!
And I’m glad you liked the paper version, Dieter, thank you again for picking it up!
You’ve gained another fan! Found this book on the new shelf at the library where I work and LOVED it. Went straight to the site to find out more and now I’m all caught up. If getting more of this is based on sales, then consider it bought!
Once again, fantastic work so far. Well done, and I hope it can continue!
Thank you! Welcome aboard!
i just found out about this at my library, this book is really amazing i love it
Hi, Kim. I saw your book on the main display shelves at Criminal Records music store in Atlanta, GA. Browsed through it in the store, then looked up your website later that night and stayed up until 4AM reading through everything. I’ll most indefinably order a copy directly through Amazon when the holidays wind down and pass the word along (I have a friend who works as a children’s librarian; I’ll pass the website along to her).
Question: So, are you needing to breech 8k-10k on both Volume 1 and (upcoming in November?) Volume 2?
Glad to have came across your work!
-Adam Lankford
My best friend got me Tune for Christmas after I spent half a year talking about how you got me back into print comics. I love it man, the thing’s a beautiful piece. Here’s to hoping you get picked up. I remember it back when it was on lowbright and not called Tune n’ All. I always wanted to see what happened after he went off with the Aliens and all. I’m thankful the story got this much of a new lease on life, and here’s to hoping it’ll keep its ticker ticking!
I’ll be talking it up to every dude I know into comics on my ship, so Tune volume 3 will not be lost because of indifference on the USS George Washington!
I just read Tune in our library, as your editor sent us a free copy. I’m a senior at my school, and I found the book fantastic, Wonderfully entertaining, and a pure joy for a nerdy kid like me. I found Andy a captivating character, and his predicament a mixture of my dream come true and all hell. But still, i couldn’t put down the book. I’ve read it at least 3 times and gone through the other chapters online twice. I love this book! i will continue to read the online pages and purchase my own copy of book one as soon as i have funds. Please, keep up the fantastic work!
I happened to be browsing the manga section at the local B & N with one of good buddies, and happened to catch sight of this. I read the brief synopsis on the back, and knew I had to buy it! This is one of the best things I have read in some time and it actually makes laugh out loud, where most books and comics usually don’t. I guess it helps that I am also an art student, as well. The combined story and art is glorious! I hope that this sells well so that it keeps going! I will definitely keep buying and passing it’s wonderment on to others
