I’m not sure. He knows Andy for a long enough time.
Maybe he even sneaked outside the air vent while everybody’s sleeping before.

The only reason he didn’t talked sooner is nobody can hear his small voice.

Maybe he did, and this is the first time anyone has noticed. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he prefers to speak through the air vent instead of in-person because the vent amplifies his voice.

I KNEW there was something special about that spider!

Also, regarding panel 2, I am the exact opposite. I feel so accomplished when I kill’m after a good chase. Don’t make a very good Buddhist.
