Did Andy leave them to himself? Or are they simply a snapshot of what was on his parents' fridge when they copied it? If it's the latter, I can totally imagine Andy not really noticing them, not realizing that whatever they say is now totally irrelevant. While we're at it, is one of the drawers full of old keys, a compass with a broken pencil, a calculator with a flaky "3" key, some rubber bands, some screws (including a big wood screw for some reason), a phillips screwdriver with the tip mostly stripped, 37 cents in change, some "post-it" pads, 7 or 8 pens that don't write, a mechanical pencil whose lead slides back inside when you try to write with it, a few loose drawer knobs from before they re-did the kitchen, etc. etc.?
