Heeere we go, Chapter 17!
Also, if you’re going to MoCCA this coming weekend, just wanted to let you know I’ll be on the “Graphic Novels for Young Adults” panel on Sunday at 11:15am.
And as mentioned previously, I’ll be signing at the First Second Book booth on Saturday from 5-6pm. Hope to see you there!

alt.Yumi is a smart girl too.
I wonder why she was allowed to bring her iPad (or whatever it is).
I can’t help but wonder why people keep calling it an iPad… it clearly has a keyboard.
That was my lousy attempt at being cool.
I don’t own anything beginning with an “i” (I don’t even have a cellphone).
Cellphone doesn’t start with “i”, in any case
Some say iPhone (because they have one) instead of cellphone (which is called “Handy” in Germany, by the way). Nobody ever made phonecalls with a Nokia, but everybody does it with his blah-blah-blah….
Maybe they’ll try to work something out? I mean, they’re already in the mess…
Awwww, they’re so cozily domestic.
i always appreciate the explanation scenes that have the characters doing something other than staring at each other
Ok, I have *GOT* to know what the notes are on the refrigerator! Did Andy leave them to himself? Or are they simply a snapshot of what was on his parents’ fridge when they copied it? If it’s the latter, I can totally imagine Andy not really noticing them, not realizing that whatever they say is now totally irrelevant.
While we’re at it, is one of the drawers full of old keys, a compass with a broken pencil, a calculator with a flaky “3″ key, some rubber bands, some screws (including a big wood screw for some reason), a phillips screwdriver with the tip mostly stripped, 37 cents in change, some “post-it” pads, 7 or 8 pens that don’t write, a mechanical pencil whose lead slides back inside when you try to write with it, a few loose drawer knobs from before they re-did the kitchen, etc. etc.? Maybe one of those things will help them escape?
This is not “McGyver”
Huh, they probably won’t get into it, but I wonder how accurate the reconstruction would be, in terms of, if he doesn’t remember what the keys fit, they wouldn’t actually fit anything, right?
